Light For An Empty Room

May 6, 2014

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn Sunday afternoons, there is plenty of sunlight for class that I can easily light the room with only one pillar lamp and two windows. Walking around the empty room is part of the routine before people arrive. And it amazes me every time, the difference that occurs in the room, when I adjust the blinds just slightly. The smallest adjustment fills the room with so much more visibility.

And it makes me think about my own life. What areas of my life seem to hold the optimum amount of light and visibility?

What if there is still more to learn? What if we need to adjust the lens of our perspective just slightly, to find there is so much more to see and experience?

This is achieved through introspection. Insight Is gained through meditation on God’s Word, and reflection on ourselves. I love meditation.

Not only does it help to relieve mental and emotional stress, help us sleep better, think clearer, and better handle stress during the day but it also opens our minds to meditate on God and ourselves.

I love the opportunity to just bask in the glory of God. We don’t have to think; our minds work hard enough the other hours of our day. All we have to do is breathe and let gratitude and love beat within your heart.
