Class Schedule

Don’t make a New Year resolution. Make a resolution every day. Each day is a new opportunity to live, to grow, and to make healthy choices.

Classes are beginner friendly. We focus on the postures of yoga, holding poses to build strength and working at your level of comfort to increase flexibility. Accompanied with scripture meditation, the routines will build bodily strength as well as challenging the soul.

Prenatal Yoga starting in September

Beginner Yoga at Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church 38 Hoopes Rd in Newport News on Fridays

Current Classes Offered

Fridays at 6:00pm: These are beginner friendly classes. The class is equipped with blocks and straps and designed with both modifications and challenges. You will be met at your level. My philosophy is that yoga is for everyone, so your needs are priority to me in order that everyone best benefit from their practice. We also use scripture and positive music to aid us in our meditation and spiritual journey through yoga.

Sundays at 3:00pm: Baby Yoga is a 30-40 minute time for exercise, story, and play with your little one. It’s never too early to set an example of exercise and meditation for your child. This class is recommended for babies ages 4 months up to 3 years.

Classes available if attendance allows

Prenatal Yoga: Prenatal yoga is available for new moms! I am certified to lead expectant mommies through a practice that is safe for them and their growing children and help prepare them physically for child birth. This may also be a good class for postpartum mothers trying to ease their way back into an exercise routine.

Meditation: Let me lead you in a 20 minute meditation. This class seeks to teach you the skills of stillness and breath awareness, while helping you connect spiritually with Christ. Not only is meditation essential for our growing relationship with Christ, but it also is beneficial to our physical bodies. Meditation can relieve stress and help you sleep better at night. Eventually your practice will help you to live a more patient and peaceful life during the day, able to handle the stresses of life and better love people around you.
